I loved my humans, I really did.
But the whole “go potty outside” rule? It was confusing! Sometimes the grass was too cold, sometimes it was raining sideways, and sometimes, frankly, I just couldn’t hold it. My tiny bladder had its limits, and let me tell you, carpet is not ideal for accidents. My humans would get frustrated, and I’d feel bad. It was a vicious cycle of puddles and puppy sighs.
One particularly rainy Tuesday, after a particularly embarrassing indoor “oops,” I was curled up, feeling a bit dejected. My human was cleaning up with that special spray that tickles my nose. That’s when it hit me! What if there was a little piece of the outdoors, indoors? A perfect, designated spot where I knew it was okay to go? A place that felt natural, smelled right, and absorbed everything without a fuss?
I started nudging my human, whining a little, then trotting to the back door, then back to the living room, looking at the carpet, then back at the door. I tried to convey my brilliant idea with a series of frantic tail wags and pointed gazes. She seemed to get the “outside” part, but the “bring it inside” concept was clearly lost in translation.
But my human is smart. She noticed my dilemma, and the countless paper towels she was going through. She started experimenting. First, an old towel – nope, too slippery. Then, a plastic tray – nope, too cold and unnatural. But then, one day, she brought home this… square of real grass. My ears perked up! It smelled like outside! It felt like outside! And when I tried it, it absorbed everything perfectly. A little natural piece of grass, just for me!
The first time I used it, my human cheered like I’d won Best in Show.
Treats flowed like kibble from a broken bag. That’s when I knew we had something special. This wasn’t just a piece of grass; it was a solution! It was freedom for me and peace of mind for my humans. No more frantic dashes in the rain, no more worried glances at the carpet.
My human always called my little accidents “piddles”. Those daily chats about “Patch’s piddles” playfully evolved, almost as a running joke, into the perfect name for my dog toilet solution: Piddle Patch. It just stuck! It was catchy, and it perfectly described what it was for – a safe, clean spot for my little piddles. And of course, being named Patch myself, it felt like it was truly my idea, my solution.
From that day on, we called it Piddle Patch. My human realised other pups and their people needed this too. We refined it, made sure it was easy to use, and designed it so it stayed fresh. We built a whole brand around giving puppies a natural, comfortable, and stress-free way to learn good potty habits.
But I realised that having a great patch was only half the battle. To be a true potty champion, you need a strategy! My idea had helped so many pups, but I wanted to do more. I wanted every single one of them to feel that “Best in Show” victory I did.
So, I’ve put on my coaching bandana and launched my very own official housetraining programme:

Piddle Like A Pro™
And when you graduate, you become part of an elite club! You’ll receive an official, frame-worthy certificate to hang on the wall, proving your pro status. Plus, your human gets a special discount code to use on more treats or a fresh new patch (because a Pro deserves the best, right?).
Best of all, you get to proudly call yourself a Piddle Pro™. It’s a title of honour, a sign that you’ve mastered your business with style and confidence.
So, whenever you see a Piddle Patch, remember me, Patch! It’s not just a product; it’s the answer to a puppy’s prayer, born from a wet carpet and a very big idea. And every time a puppy learns to “go” in the right spot and gets a happy human’s praise, I do a little happy dance. Woof!
